How to Make a Patriotic Card

How to Make a Patriotic Card

This week, KOOL TAK™ has a special guest blogger…Ronnie Goff.  Ronnie is a seasoned, professional craft and hobby designer who has a definite design style.  This week, Ronnie shares with us a how to make a patriotic card featuring a number of KOOL TAK™ products.  While the sample below features the recent Memorial Day holiday, it can easily be converted for the 4th of July and Veterans Day.  We know you will enjoy this remarkable card that commemorates the summer holidays.

Having come from a family full of military men and women, I wanted to create a special card for the summer holidays. KOOL TAK™ supplies make this card shine and sparkle, demanding attention for those who serve our country for the freedom we enjoy today.

5. Using your X-ACTO knife, gently lift a corner of the 2″ square tape covering to expose the tackiness of the adhesive.  Do not touch this area.

6. Place 3D Foam – 1/4″ x 1/4″ x 1/32″ thick, 144 pads – CLEAR squares inside the 2″ square in a star pattern. Leave protective film in place.

7. Remove blue foil from the ShinyTransfer Foil Sheets-Holiday Colors package and place dull side down on the 2″ square. Gently use your fingernails as you burnish the foil into the tacky areas. Remove foil and check for any areas not foiled.

Below is how this card is displayed in my office. It adds further honor to my sister and brother who have retired from the armed forces about 8 years ago.
