The count down is on! 2016 will be here before we know it, and now’s the time to get ready to usher out the old year and bring in the new.

Multi-color ribbon to match the handles of the Party Blowouts, about 36″ of each color, cut in half
Tools: Scissors, black permanent marker, 12″ circle plate
Instructions
Place the Kool Tak™ Reuseable Craft Mat on your work surface to protect it.
Layer two sets of prism, glitter and printed paper joined with Kool Tak™ Ultra Clear 1/2″ Adhesive. Attach to front and back of gift bag with Kool Tak™ Ultra Clear 1/2″ Adhesive.
Attach Kool Tak™ Punch Adhesive to the front and back of a piece of scrap paper, about 4″ x 4″. Cut the numbers 2,0,1 and 6 from this piece. Remove the release paper and press the numbers face down on the silver side Kool Tak™ Mardi Gras Shiny Foil. Remove the numbers from the foil, remove the back release papers and place the numbers on the bag. Don’t worry about getting them even along the bottom. The bouncy look makes them appear more festive.
Layer eight pieces of cellophane about one inch larger all around than your circle plate. Draw around the top layer of cellophane with the permanent marker, using the plate as a guide. Trim the circles all at one time.
Fold all the circles into a quarter circle and take a small snip out of the center with scissors.
Twist each fuzzy stem around a wooden skewer, slide it near the blunt end of the skewer and secure it to the skewer with 1/2″ white Kool Tak™Artist’s Tape. Place a small piece of 1/2″ Kool Tak™ Ultra Clear on the Kool Tak™ Artist’s Tape and surround the hole in the center of each piece of cellophane as well. Remove the release paper from the skewer and insert the skewer from the bottom of the cellophane so that the Kool Tak™ Ultra Clear is on the outside of the cellophane. Fold the cellophane over so that the Kool Tak™ Ultra Clear holds the pleated folds.
Remove the blow-out portion of the Fringed Party Blowouts, leaving only the handle and fringe. Insert the pointed end of the skewer into the handle top, pull it down to the area where the Kool Tak™ Ultra Clear holds the folds and press the handle to hold the skewer in place.
Place a small piece of Kool Tak™ Ultra Clear on the Smoothfoam block, remove the release paper and press it into the bottom of the bag. Tie the ribbons through the holes on each side of the bag. Insert the skewers into the block, place on your table and wait for the compliments!
